Brad Lyons

One Sheet

Brad Lyons is a musician and arts advocate.  Formerly of Sony/BMG America, his music — released under the name Oceanship — has been featured on Los Angeles radio station KCRW, as well as within many popular television programs.  He has toured Canada, China and America.

After two decades as an independent and major label musician, Brad formed Artists United, an organization dedicated to teaching and promoting a new dimension of art and artist in an attempt to solve problems within the arts ecosystem.  He did so in response to what he feels is a crisis: the unmitigated theft of digitizable art through the internet, and its effects on artists, society and consciousness on the whole.

Artists United is founded on a core set of principles.  These principles are stated within its Manifesto, expanded upon within its Writings, and enacted through its Calls To Action.  Please read through each section of the website for a complete understanding of the Artists United mission.
